Two pictures things the Lord has given me over the last 10 days.
Prior to going to Christchurch I had this vision where I saw this massive tree falling to the ground and taking out people around them as it fell.
Then this morning I was reading in Matt 3:10 and it reminded me of that vision I saw.
Matt 3:10 says “The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”
It’s a powerful word of warning that if we are living supposedly Godly lives and yet are not living lives that produce fruit in keeping with repentance, the fruit of love, joy peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, etc, the fruit of the spirit that is found in Gal 6, then I believe we will see people who are big people to those around them, people who are leaders etc. fall and cause damage.
Something that startled me yesterday as I was sleeping, I woke up to the sound of a clanging symbol. I looked around me and I could not find what made the sound but straight away the word found in 1 Cor 13 came to me.
“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.”
We can move in all the gifts of the spirit, we can fathom all mysteries etc. but if love does not accompany it, it will not produce anything that will last and gives Glory to God.
There will be a lot of noise but not much power that brings transformation.
Many many people can move in the gifts of the spirit, can seem to be ‘of the Lord’ but in reality they are working from a place of moving in the supernatural as the gifts of God are freely given, but they will pass away if they are not moving from a place of love, which is a place to see others lifted higher.
1 Cor 13 : 13
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
