Do not fear - it will have the DNA of Jesus

Over the last two weeks I have noticed a shift and an expansion in the spirit of things about to be released, like the final stages of a lady pregnant about to give birth, when what has been inside, can no longer be contained and it has to come out.

And in the process of this 'baby' needing to come out there has been this question, this fear, and even this 'holding in the baby' because of the uncertainty of what it will look like, that there will no longer be control and in that there is a fear of releasing it and letting it go.

I share this because I believe there are many who are 'pregnant' with dreams, visions, hopes, plans, but because of the uncertainty of what it looks like there is a holding off, a waiting, a hesitation, possibly because in the past things have not turned out as expected, possibly because of hurts and fears of rejection, of what people will think etc.  for whatever reason.  But I want to encourage you today and something The Lord has been speaking to me about, is not to fear as it will have the DNA of Jesus.

If Jesus is in me, and Jesus has put these dreams, visions, plans on my heart, then I do not need to be afraid or uncertain of what it will look like, even though it might look different that I thought or expected because I can trust that it will have the DNA of Jesus.  As God is the Father of the 'baby' that is inside of you and me and in Him, I can trust.  If God is the Father of the 'baby' then it will have His genes, His personality, His traits and we can trust in that, however it looks, it will look like Jesus.

For me the 'baby' is Revival for this Nation, and what I have seen a little of already, I have been a little afraid of how it might look, of how people might reject it because it is not what they expected - or me for that matter, and so there has been a hesitation in the release of the fullness of it but The Lord has really been encouraging me and leading me to trust him that it will have His DNA.  And for many of you revival is something you are wanting and crying out for in your churches, in your life and yet there is a hesitation because of the uncertainty of what it might look like, that you can no longer control it.  But I want to encourage you that it will have the DNA of Jesus.  That does not mean it will have the DNA of 'church', as we know it now, but of the fruit of the spirit, of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  Against such things there is no law. (Gal 6:22-23)

It may look a little out of order, a little out of what we see as control, but rather the Holy Spirit being in control.  It may look like nothing we have seen before, it may look like people being offended because as Jesus walked he offended people with the truth, but in actual fact God is bringing to the light things hidden in the darkness and revealing them so they can turn and be healed and brought into 'true freedom'.  It may look 'messy' as people learn to come into a freedom they don't know how to handle as they are so used to 'boundaries' and working within those boundaries and now a freedom that they have not experienced before and having to 'grow up' in God for themselves and not in others, so there will be those finding their way without walls and so there will be mistakes, and growth and people in all different places but within all of this those fruits of the spirit should and will be seen.   There will be manifestations and strange ones at that, but once again we are called not to judge the manifestation but rather the fruit that comes from it and when manifestations happen it is easy to tell what is of The Lord and what is not, as the opposite comes, anger, judgement, criticism, pointing of finger - all not the fruit of the spirit.

So I want to encourage you and myself in The Lord as he has been speaking to me not to fear when Revival finally breaks out because it will have His DNA, no matter how it looks, what shape it takes, it will have the Fathers DNA.

Sleeping while driving?

How many of you have ever driven a car and you become so sleepy that you either need to pull over and sleep or you will crash or you continue to drive only to find yourself swerving to avoid a car that comes upon you or even worse find yourself in a crash. The other day I had a vision where I was preaching and the whole back row in the gathering of men were asleep while I was preaching.   And today I had another vision of driving a car while so sleepy that it was going to cause an accident. This is what is like for many in our spiritual walk in the Lord, we are going around in our lives spiritually asleep and if we continue to do so will have a serious crash at some point not only causing damage to yourself but to other people who you may not even know.  Men particularly I challenge you to take a look at your lives to see whether you are hearing from the Lord, whether you are responding truthfully to the Holy Spirit and living as He would ask you to live or whether

6 legged sheep???

In the weekend I saw a vision of a sheep that had six legs. And what I believe the Lord is saying, there are many sheep, (followers of Christ), but they are trusting in their own strength and not in mine.  When we trust in our own strength and abilities we forfeit the grace that can be ours, the enabling that comes from stepping out in faith in the impossible, the testimonies that give God the glory rather than the expectation of what should be because we have put our hand to  something.  God is the God of the impossible and in order for the miracles, the testimonies, we need to be a people that step out in what we can't do and allow God to come in and do the impossible.   That may simply be asking the Lord to help you to forgive someone that has hurt you so much, to getting on a plane with no finances because the Lord has asked you to, to continue to stay in a job/church/marriage/relationship you don't want to because that is where God has placed you, to praying for a

Obedience and Commitment are big things in Gods Kingdom

Reading in Acts 7 this morning the story through Stephen of Abraham being told by God to " Leave your country and your people and go the the land I will show you"   So he left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Haran. After the death of his father, God sent him to this land where you are now living.  He gave him no inheritance here, not even a foot of ground.  But God promised him that he and his descendants after him would possess the land, even though at that time Abraham had no child." As I reflected on this and the journey of Abraham stepping out in faith into a land that he received no inheritance in but a promise of what was to come for his descendants of which we live in the fruit of that, I thought of todays generations in which often is only doing things that we want to do or that will benefit us personally as we live for 'today' not worrying about tomorrow.  A sense of if it feels good then do it, if it doesn't then we will move on -  perhap

Bus crash in Botswana - Rejoice in the Lord always.

Well we had an interesting introduction to Botswana - yes a bus crash.  It was amazing and most probably the worst accident I have been in to this day (but not bad I am sure to some of you out there) but thankfully the Lord looked after us and protected us. The front tyre of the bus blew out travelling about 120ks per hour and the bus tipped from side to side as it careered off the road into the bus.  How it never hit cars and no one was killed we will never know apart from the protection of the Lord.  We were flown all over the place but thankfully only came out with a few cuts and bruises.  It was literally a miracle that we didn't roll.  One girl was thrown out of the bus in a serious condition, others hurt in various ways but it could have been a whole lot worse.  The Lord gave us peace and we went about praying for people and was blessed especially by one lady who felt the fire of God healing her so much so that she was laughing and crying all at the same time.  Two days ear

"I am ruined for the ordinary"

“I am ruined for the ordinary” A statement that can possibly be to some, come from a place of judgement, or it can be from a place of there is more in the Kingdom of God that I am yet to experience or understand, revelation that I have tasted of something that actually shows me that I have not tasted of anything yet.  A place where there is such a contentment and joy in what I have seen and longed to see and yet a revelation that there is way more "beyond what I think, ask and imagine" (Eph 3:20) and one that spurs me on to seek and discover all the fullness that could be ours in the Kingdom of God. When we as Christians see other Christians going places or experiencing things that we don’t understand or perhaps we have not yet moved in, we can either become jealous of that person and judge and bring them down to our level, exclude them from our lives or we can choose to be excited by what is happening and be encouraged and spurred on in the Lord for the more than ca
